Someone Is Going To Pay Six Figures For LeBron's 2003 Hummer Because People Are Assholes

[ESPN] - The car used by Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James as a high school senior is headed to the auction block.

The 2003 Hummer H2 will go up for auction by Goldin Auctions on Monday, and the car will be sold on Dec. 8.

Goldin Auctions president Ken Goldin said he feels the car is “definitely a six figure piece.”

Imagine the asshole you have to be in order to buy LeBron’s high school car? Not only that, but imagine being the asshole paying six figures for it. Six figures for a 2003 Hummer H2! That’s flat out absurd. It’s so absurd I almost want to take a loan out and buy it myself. I mean do it for the story, right?

I also can’t believe it’s been 15 years since this Hummer came into our world. I still remember when it was a huge deal and the whole investigation into LeBron and his mom and how they were able to get this. Growing up in another state you still read about it.

I might have to go find my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee I had in high school and put it up for sale. Wonder if I’d get $6 for it.
